Birth month is different from registration month; place of occurrence is different from mother’s usual residence. Match these definitions and periods before combining series. Missing months are not zero births; partial years do not support complete-year seasonal comparisons.
The daily lookup compares date shares within each year before averaging across 1995–2025. Monthly indices adjust for actual month lengths. A seasonal pattern does not establish its cause. Read the explorer’s methods and original ONS, NRS and NISRA sources before drawing conclusions.
Official data are reproduced under the Open Government Licence. Retain original-source attribution, geography, timing basis, source release and status. Cite the explorer URL, data file, source period and access date. The files are read-only downloads; there is no analysis or submission API.
